My absence... Jan. 16th, 2005 @ 02:21 pm
I know that some of you have noticed that I've not been around very much lately, and I do apologize for this. I'm taking a leave of absence from Haelrahv for personal reasons. Mostly I'm trying to regain my health and I'm also thankful to FINALLY own the house I live in, so Josh and I are re-modelling that...this takes up a good deal of my free time. But never fear, I will eventually finish and I will be in Haelrahv more often, I'm not gone all the time though, so please don't think I've abandoned you.

'Allo 'allo 'allo... Jan. 11th, 2005 @ 08:34 am
Hi! I'm brand new to Haelrahv and just found this group (go me!). I play Aeshi Aki, an Eolai (m)Performer. I *just* started -- I only finished training and have less than 1000 exp! I've been reading everything I can find on the game so I don't look and feel like a complete newbie idiot while wandering around, but I still may have some questions and ask for help from time to time. Most everyone I've met so far has been extremely nice and helpful!

I just got back to work after a nice, long 2 1/2 week vacation, and in addition to that, I've started my final math class. I work at a university so I get some tuition credits free -- good thing, too, because I would never *pay* to put myself through this kind of torture! I hate algebra! Anyway, I still have nightmares of my previous math course where I was doing homework from the moment I got home from work until the time I went to bed - at least 4 hours - *every* night. I got smart this time (after taking a couple semesters off to recover) and took an SLA (structured learning assistance) course so I'll have time on opposite days to ask questions and do homework. So hopefully that won't take up so much of my after-work time.

Why am I blabbing about all this? Do you care? I don't expect you do, but if a week or more goes by and you don't see much of Aeshi, it's because my brain is fried from algebra and I'm completely stressing out. What I wouldn't do for a couple extra Mi-go brain cylinders. I know at least one of you out there knows what I'm talking about there. ;)

Anyway, hi again. I'll shut up now.

Current Mood: Bury me with my keyboard.
Current Music: Shit, I took all my CDs home over vacation.

There is a new shop in the Forgotten Caverns now. It has....simple trackery stuff, but not much of it. These are a simple people, let's not forget.

There are also a number of bonus enhancing spots down here as well now.

For all you mac users out there... Nov. 24th, 2004 @ 12:29 pm
Just an update, I am currently trying to see what I can do as far as finding a GOOD mac client for the game, one that will easily output text to other windows, e.t.c. (Good luck, its pretty hard in a windows client at that...although I did do something fun with MUSHclient that let's me output text into another window, which is kinda fun.)

I'm also peeking at Warlock to see if I can convince THAT to connect to the game, until we can get a Hael-specific mac client, it looks like it may be the best option.

The long (oh so very long)-anticipated Performer's Academy has finally opened
its doors, accessible from East Gihmru Way.

Items of note:

- The instrument tuner, Lucius Weller, has taken up residence at the Academy.
- Some areas only allow admittance based on Performer reputation, level,
and/or capability.
- Other areas simply haven't been opened. YET.
- There are lots of hidden/secret things to find, and a few new things to do.
(excluding instrument crafting... be patient!)
- Of particular interest is a means for Performers to earn a living doing what
they do best; you just need to talk to the right person.
- The academy will continue to expand as new systems, tools, and other
circumstances come to pass.

Hello fellow Haelrahvians! Morrigan here, just I thought I'd pop in and say hey. By the way, I'm like a total LJ newb, so hopefully this gets where I want it to go. Whee!!
» For those of you interested....
I'll be trying to get things going with Gawyn/Nova/Aegan/Datastream in the next few days, we close on the sale of my condo tomorrow, so things have been very hectic around here with me trying to get the last bit of stuff out and crammed into my house.
